The Jalapão desert is one of the wildest places of the world. With wonderful landscapes that mix red dunes, transparent rivers, hills and the rich biodiversity of Cerrado, it’s perfect for rafting, canoeing, off-road and pathways. The place is not only called desert because it is dry. On the contrary: around dunes of up to 40 meters and mountains with table shape that reach up 800 meters, run extremely limpid rivers. It’s called desert because there’s almost nobody there. It has a perfect landscape to see the natural habitat of wild animals like: onça-pintada (kind of jaguar), araras(bird) and lots of tucanos(bird).
The Novo river, that separates the region, has so transparent waters that it’s difficult to believe. On its borders there are many fluvial beaches never stepped by a human-being. In this place it’s possible to take refreshing baths during the hot days.
Jalapão has dozens of magnificent waterfalls, like Velha, and an extraordinary spring called Fervedouro. In this natural pool formed between banana plants, the water come up with such strength that it’s impossible to drown.
At night you will have the opportunity to see one of the most beautiful starlit nights of your life and know a bit more about the local culture around bonfires made kilometers away from any city.

The Cerrado, that occupies almost 25% of the Brazilian territory, is like a savanna in tropical weather. This beautiful region is home for 800 species of birds and almost 200 mammals.
Cerrado has about the size of five European countries and has one of the most incredible varieties of flora along the country, with more than 10 thousand species of plants. Its landscape, perfect for practicing adventure tourism, is crossed by crystalline rivers: ideal for baths while trekking. The Cerrado varies a lot along its almost 2 million square kilometers through 11 Brazilian states.
Cerrado is one of the most important biomes of the country, mainly because it is one of the oldest. You can discover anteaters, armadillos, wolves and almost 1 thousand species of butterflies. The region still has one of the main water sources of the whole Latin America: Platina, San Francisco and Amazon Basin.
