Fernando de Noronha is not only the place in Brazil with the most beautiful beaches, but also one of the best places for scuba diving in the world. With a volcanic origin, this ecological sanctuary has huge rock of up to 321 meters high that submerge from transparent water, almost surreal. This is an extraordinary scenery: with a unique environment, it is the perfect place for trekking. And also: on any beach it is possible to bath in natural pools and be fascinated with one of the most colorful marine life of the whole globe.
The combination is perfect: beaches of gold sand and water that are so green that do not seem real. And also, huge rocks that look like it was painted by an artist make this archipelago a Patrimony of Humanity.
The isolation – it is 500 km away from the Brazilian coast – gives a charm to the destiny, but even though, the island still have one of the best infrastructure of the country.
There are twenty wonderful beaches there. The attractions are not only above the sea. Under the sea, it is even more beautiful: dolphins, turtles, sharks and a huge variety of fishes and coral reefs that give color to the place.
The animal’s species is also impressive. Besides the dolphins, they usually give a great show in the Baía dos Golfinhos. Almost 250 species live under the sea with a visibility of 50 meters.
That is why this archipelago with 21 islands is one of the best places to dive. And you will have not only the opportunity of scuba diving, but also snorkeling.
The adventure is not only related to the marine life. Surfers will also find nice waves, like the ones on Conceição beach, and who likes trekking will walk through landscapes that came out of a dream.
Paradisiacal places, like the Baía dos Porcos, Cacimba do Padre and Baía do Sancho should be seen. Who likes history can also visit the fortresses and churches around the island, built during the French, Dutch and Portuguese occupation.

The Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest gives life to the Brazilian coast. The green forest surrounds perfectly the paradisiacal beaches of the Brazilian seaside. With many rivers and refreshing waterfalls, it’s one of the main attractions for practicing ecotourism in the country.
The vegetation is extremely rich, but the most impressive thing is the fauna. There you will find from the rare Micos-leões-dourados (golden lion tamarin), endangered specie of monkey, to the enigmatic Onças-pintadas (jaguar). It’s more than 1.3 million square meters of exuberating forest.
At some levels this biodiversity is considered one of the biggest of the world. The variety that goes along the country is enormous. You can see Jacarés-de-papo-amarelo(specie of alligator), Papagaio-de-cara-roxa (an exotic purple parrot) and also Botos-tucuxi(specie of Dolphin). During some research in Reserva Biológica Do Una, in the state of Bahia, North American researchers identified 450 different species of trees in only one hectare of forest.
Mata Atlântica, had a main role during the colonization of the country, and impressed the Portuguese that arrived here in 1500. Preserved even nowadays, this massive forest keeps in some parts, besides animals and plants, the rich history of Brazil.
