Florianópolis is an impressive city: even being the capital of the state of Santa Catarina, it has natural beauties and many options of adventure activities that astonish everybody. The city, which is half on land half on an island, is one of the most dazzling of the country.
The beaches of clear and green water are everywhere. Just for you to have an idea: there are more than 80km of tracks. Places completely preserved and virgins, sometimes just accessible on foot, reveal a rich diversity of plants and animals of the coast of Santa Catarina.
Surrounded by dunes, huge lakes and historical buildings, Florianópolis is one of the main destinations of the country for surfing, windsurfing, trekking, scuba diving and even paragliding.
The city and the culture is another must see. The rich tradition açoriana are found when you eat the tasteful cuisine – which includes many fish and the most varied seafood – and the handicraft found also on the coast. You will find more than 430 sq. meters of adrenaline.

The Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest gives life to the Brazilian coast. The green forest surrounds perfectly the paradisiacal beaches of the Brazilian seaside. With many rivers and refreshing waterfalls, it’s one of the main attractions for practicing ecotourism in the country.
The vegetation is extremely rich, but the most impressive thing is the fauna. There you will find from the rare Micos-leões-dourados (golden lion tamarin), endangered specie of monkey, to the enigmatic Onças-pintadas (jaguar). It’s more than 1.3 million square meters of exuberating forest.
At some levels this biodiversity is considered one of the biggest of the world. The variety that goes along the country is enormous. You can see Jacarés-de-papo-amarelo(specie of alligator), Papagaio-de-cara-roxa (an exotic purple parrot) and also Botos-tucuxi(specie of Dolphin). During some research in Reserva Biológica Do Una, in the state of Bahia, North American researchers identified 450 different species of trees in only one hectare of forest.
Mata Atlântica, had a main role during the colonization of the country, and impressed the Portuguese that arrived here in 1500. Preserved even nowadays, this massive forest keeps in some parts, besides animals and plants, the rich history of Brazil.
