Chapada dos Guimarães is one of the most important reserves of the Brazilian Cerrado. With landscapes that came out of the dreams, this paradisiacal place is perfect for adventure tourism: trekking, caving and bird watching, which you can do around huge waterfalls and walls of red stones.
The most beautiful scene of Parque Nacional da Chapada dos Guimarães (Chapada dos Guimaraes National Park) is the wonderful Véu da Noiva waterfall, with 86 meters high. Besides that, there are dozens of other waterfalls, perfect for a refreshing bath while you are trekking. You can find springs and lots of water in the whole region.
The belvederes show an extraordinary scenery. In the middle of green trees full of exotic animals, you can see the reddish abyss of up to 850 meters.
At least 500 years ago, this region was an ocean; habitat of dinosaurs and today, it maintains big caves and archeological sites that keep the history of the modern human.
While trekking, it is possible to visit places never touched before, see exotic fruits, watch beautiful twisted trees of the Cerrado and also refresh yourself in several water springs found on the way.

The region still has one of the main water sources of the whole Latin America: Platina, San Francisco and Amazon Basin.
